School Counselors help all students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career planning, and social/emotional development, ensuring today's students become productive, well-adjusted adults. Part of this work is done by scheduling them into appropriate classes, academic advising, helping them learn to do their best in classes they struggle in, and college advising. However, they can also help and guide students through their emotions, peer and family relationships. Going through the age of preadolescence and adolescence can be dynamic, turbulent and/or a tender, fragile time. Having someone that meets you where you are, helps you to understand, tend, cope with and manage the various feelings that come about during this time can be helpful. The personal and group counseling can be a support as conflicts and difficulties arise with challenges in friendships and family relations.

Special Education Counseling Services information can be found on the Special Education Services Page.
