VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

The Windsor Unified School District is dedicated to providing quality, equitable, and accessible arts education for all TK-12 students. Students engage in standards-based arts education with arts specialists and through arts integrated outcomes. The WUSD VAPA department is a regional, state, and nationally recognized leader in Arts Integration and Career Technical Education (Arts Media and Entertainment):

  • TK-5 students participate in concentrated arts integration through the iAspire program

  • 3-5 grade students receive weekly music instruction with a credentialed music specialist

  • 5-12 grade students may enroll in arts electives with credentialed specialists in visual arts, theatre arts, music, and media arts

  • 9-12 grade students may enroll in dance electives with a credentialed dance specialist

  • 9-10 grade students may enroll in the Arts, Media, and Entertainment core 

  • 11-12 grade students may enroll in arts focus areas 

    • Nueva School of the Arts 

    • Areté Media Academy
