Windsor Unified School District

Windsor Unified’s elementary schools are “cluster schools.” That is, our schools are divided by grade level, rather than neighborhod or location. Mattie Washburn Elementary is preschool through 2^nd grade and Brooks Elementary is 3^rd through 5^th grade. Cluster schools allows continuity of relationships among our students, and supports integration and belonging. Our elementary school students also enjoy visual and performing arts integrated into their classes. 

Windsor Middle School is a “traditional” 6^th through 8^th grade school, providing a supportive and safe environment for tweens and teens to find their footing and plan their futures. WMS also boasts some of the best elective options, including STEM, culinary, BUILD/construction, honors classes and arts. Some of the specialized and unique classes and programs at WMS include:

Windsor High School offers a one-of-a-kind learning environment for every kind of student. Starting with our Freshman Seminar course, which helps students learn to succeed in high school, to the Sophomore Cores which help students find their interests and lay the foundation for their chosen Focus Area for 11^th and 12^th grade. This core format sets up small learning communities within the larger WHS community, allowing students to tailor their learning around their interest and create strong social bonds within their core.
