Stephanie was elected to the Windsor School Board in November 2018 and is thrilled to serve as the Windsor community as a Board Trustee. Her philosophy is open and straightforward communication, anticipating problems and addressing them at early stages, and being accessible and building relationships.
Stephanie grew up in Windsor and attended Windsor Schools from K-12th grade, back when she was Stephanie Diaz. She graduated from Windsor High School as co-valedictorian in 2002 and went on to earn her Bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and in 2006 and her law degree from Stanford Law School in 2011. In law school she was a student attorney with Stanford's Youth and Education Law Project, where she represented students in school disability and disciplinary proceedings and also worked on a lawsuit challenging the state of California to provide adequate funding for its public schools.
A licensed attorney, Stephanie works in private practice for Greenberg Traurig LLP on employee benefits matters. In addition to her legal work, she has pursued her passion for education and the Windsor community by serving as President of the Windsor Educational Foundation and as a member of the Measure F Bond Oversight Committee. Her husband teaches high school Physics and Chemistry at Windsor High School and together they have two children who currently attended Cali and now Windsor High School.
